Equity Rapid Application Developer

The Equity Rapid Application Development (RAD) Team offers bespoke technology services for Equity Portfolio Management teams. They work directly with PMs and analysts and collaborate with relevant Core teams to build custom solutions to assist in the investment research process. Leveraging internal and market data sources, combined with the team’s unique workflow, we aim to deliver analytics and automation tailored to their specific requirements.

Main Responsibilities

- Work directly with PM teams to build bespoke technology solutions that assist with their investment research process

- Automate data retrieval and custom analytics in various delivery formats that combine internal and market data sources

- Design and build data visualizations and user interfaces to visualize data trends and facilitate custom workflows

- Partner with Equities Management team to capture requirements, monitor delivery, and manage expectations

- Maintain, support, and improve capabilities as new requirements arise

Qualifications / Skills Required

- BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field

- Python: 3+ years of development experience with Python/pandas and core libraries/frameworks required; REST API development experience (i.e. Flask) a plus

- SQL: 3+ years of development experience in schema design, ETL techniques, and query design

- Data Visualization: Experience building Tableau dashboards desired

- UI: Development experience with JavaScript and UI frameworks (i.e. Angular) a plus

- C#: Development experience with C#/.NET a plus

- Excel/VBA: Experience with formula and macro coding a plus

- Comfortable in both Windows and Linux environments

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail

- Solid verbal and written communication skills

- Desire to work in a front-office facing role

- Willingness and excitement to learn new technologies and business areas

- Familiarity with equity markets and market data
