Director, Financial Services & Asset Management
Our client, a rapid growing and reputable asset manager, strong in ETF products, is looking for a high calibre for their investment team expansion.
Responsibilities
• Manage Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) based on equity, futures, and fixed income
- Manage the portfolio in line with the prospectus and SFC UT Code
- Analyze the underlying market closely and if the market situation requires, seek for the alternative replication strategy and execute after the internal approval
- Closely work with Fund Operations Team, Trustees, in regards to operational processes of ETFs
• Product Development
- Generate product ideas with conducting market research on comparative landscape in ETF industries and regulatory changes
- Prepare the product material to discuss with SFC and proactively involve in drafting product application documents including the Prospectus and KFS
- Work and liaise with various index providers and develop new indexes
- Set up the PCF template of new product
- Work with iNAV calculation agent to discuss and develop calculation method
- Closely work with internal Compliance Team and Operations Team
• Capital Market
- Monitor bid/ask of market makers (MMs) ensure bid/ask spread and pricing are within reasonable range
- Facilitate large ETF trades from clients with MMs
- Provide prompt response to MMs and participating dealers (PDs)
- Develop and expand relationships with MMs and PDs
- Inform possible change or event of index/portfolio and formulate the hedging tools for clients.
• Support in Sales and Marketing
- Generate product presentations for institutional and retail clients
- Generate market commentaries
- Accompany sales staff in client meetings and make sales presentations
Requirements:
• More than 5 years of track record and hands-on experience in managing ETFs in the capacity of a portfolio manager
• Quantitative skills – strong proficiency in Excel
• Strong understanding on fund operation process
• Excellent communication skills both in English and Chinese
• Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to details
