Our client is a leading banking institution seeking an experienced Team Head, Technology Risk to lead the Technology Risk function and drive the bank's technology risk governance framework.

Your new role

• Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of the Bank's Technology Risk Management Framework.
• Oversee enterprise-wide technology risk assessments covering infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, cybersecurity, data management, and third-party services.
• Ensure key technology risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported to senior management and relevant governance committees.
• Provide independent challenge and oversight on technology initiatives, digital transformation programmes, and major change projects.
• Ensure compliance with HKMA, Basel, and other relevant regulatory requirements relating to technology risk, cybersecurity, outsourcing, and operational resilience.
• Partner closely with Technology, Information Security, Audit, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to ensure effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of technology-related risks across the organisation.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Information Security, Operational Risk, or related disciplines within banking or financial services.
• Proven leadership experience managing technology risk teams and complex stakeholder environments
• Strong understanding of technology risk frameworks, cyber risk management, operational resilience, IT governance, and regulatory expectations.
• Hands-on experience covering cloud risk, cybersecurity, outsourcing risk, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with HKMA TM-G-1, Cyber Resilience Assessment Framework (C-RAF), Basel operational risk principles, and industry best practices.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CGEIT, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Chinese is essential; English and Mandarin would be advantageous.
