Director, Business Management Office

My Client, a Swiss boutique private bank is looking for a Business Manager.

Function Purpose

Manage and/or support Private Banking front office projects/ initiatives and the daily business.

The scope encompasses supporting business analysis, reporting, revenue generation, regulatory compliance, policy compliance and strategic business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analysis and reporting of Front Office commercial performance and productivity
  • Support revenue initiatives through the sale campaigns and supporting the introduction of new businesses/ services including the coordinating the legal, compliance, risk, operations and technical aspects.
  • Enable the daily front office and business activities by representing the front office vis-a-vis the support functions of the bank.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulatory and internal policy requirements, including the Bank's global and regional policies, operating procedures and controls to meet the Bank's local regulatory requirements and to protect the business from financial, regulatory and reputational risk.
  • Maintain an Asia-wide and 'team' perspective in our project leadership and business support activities, balancing commercial and control requirements

  • Lead and support initiatives to build commercial success, improve product and service offering, and deliver a capable and robust operating platform and client service model.
  • Ensure stable frontline activities, smooth running of frontline processes and seek continuous improvement in frontline activities
  • Provide input to or represent the front line in operational initiatives or projects.
  • Work in collaboration with support and control functions (Compliance, Risk, Operations) on key projects compliance, loss prevention and work place efficiency.
  • Find and implement solutions for ad hoc queries from the front line
  • Business management liaison with Finance/HR on FO cost, performance and headcount planning
  • Support coordination of sales campaigns and commercial initiatives, including Advisory Mandate Transformation, fee policy and practice
  • Input and business representation in key Governance fora
  • Support development of policy, product and operating procedures
  • Support client communications/ client reporting and client experience initiatives
  • Coordinate front office training development/ delivery to ensure competent and compliant activities
