Mission

Responsibilities




Market Operator:

  • Cover the initial margin requirements for listed derivatives on APAC Exchanges & CCPs
  • Enhance return on assets by selecting appropriate investment strategies
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all regional Client money rules and regulations
  • Monitor the account balances for APAC broker dealer entities related to the listed F&O business
  • Suggest improvements to the risk framework as required
  • Execute trades
  • Provide desk cover to senior traders




Projects:
  • Work independently on desk specific quantitative projects as directed by management
  • Data extraction from source systems, data processing, analysis, sequencing, staging
  • Design and code to automate presentation of data analysis and to automate daily tasks
  • Create proof of concept data tools to be implemented by IT
  • Collaborate with Risk, Operations, IT to source information and create value add MI to the trading desk
  • Integrate source data feeds to build tools that provide trading alerts & notifications
  • Daily production of trading desk P&L estimation from component trading systems and desk activities


Interaction:

  • Maintain and further develop a relationship with exchange representatives in the context of collateral requirement
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal support partners
  • Approach other trading desks and business lines within the bank to network, observe different products and processes, leverage new trading ideas and methodologies
  • Understand equivalent trading desk processes in AMER & EMEA and suggest best practice sharing improvements in relation to APAC flows
  • Maintain 3rd party banking relationships (custodians, paying agents, banks)
