The Role Responsibilities
Data governance is an essential function within the Mox data organization. Stamp your mark on shaping this area within a customer- and product-centric modern environment built on top of a state-of-the-art tech stack in an exciting new financial product space of virtual banking. Your passion for data and desire to increase your breadth and depth of knowledge in the data discipline will be key in this role. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Work with Head of Data to design, drive, and contribute to initiatives to improve data quality, consistency and integrity
  • Maintain standard definitions for key metrics and engage with delivery squads to ensure their consistent implementation
  • Participation in data loss prevention forums
  • Perform data risk controls assessments and work with engineers on remediations
  • Engage with stakeholders, risk and audit functions and see to fruition changes to access policies in line with the data landscape evolution and practical needs of delivery
  • Contribute to the definition of data policies (e.g., use of Machine Learning / AI within services)
  • Contribute to initiatives to manage risk associated with management of personally identifiable information
  • Perform data classification reviews and ensure adherence to data processing and retention standards
  • Establish a standard for data asset documentation and work with delivery squads to ensure consistent level of documentation quality

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Data Governance / Data Risk related work
  • Previous experience with data governance or data risk, auditing, information security, data protection, data management or similar relevant area
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of data lake and data warehousing principles and modelling
  • Experience with analytics, batch and realtime processing
  • Experience with cloud platforms, e.g. AWS
  • Experience working with both technical and non-technical teams for data
  • Practical experience working in an agile delivery environment
  • Programming and SQL skills is a plus
