Customer Due Diligence and Onboarding Team Manager - Commercial Banking

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Customer Due Diligence and Onboarding Team Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities to make onboarding and Customer Due Diligence journey simpler, faster and easier for customer and staff
  • Drive the design, development and implementation of process automation and streamlining initiatives with benefits tracking
  • Work in collaboration with Business Financial Crime Risk, HSBC Operations, Services, and Technology, Know Your Customer Operations to manage the Global Standard Customer Due Diligence Review Book of work, and monitor the weekly initiation and completion volume to ensure alignment with the plan
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics relating to onboarding and review such as completion of Book of Work, productivity, quality, timeliness, also provide analytics insight to drive operational efficiency and performance improvements
  • Support the team in implementing Onboarding and Client Due Diligence related projects

  • University graduate with a degree in business, finance, statistic or a related discipline
  • Solid technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in Visual Basic for Applications is mandatory
  • Good understanding of project delivery methodology, frameworks and best practice
  • Expert in managing and interpreting large amount of data with strong numerical sense and strong analytical skill
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and services, or familiar with Global Standards processes in particular Customer Due Diligence procedures would be a plus
  • Knowledge of web based programming, Java, JavaScript would be a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Qlikview, SAS, and Adobe Experience Manger would be a plus
  • Strong team player, collaborative and able to deliver high quality results under tight schedule
  • Effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to organize and handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision
  • Proficiency in spoken English and Cantonese, as well as written English and Chinese will be preferred
