Custody Manager (Compliance)

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Head of Custody in fulfilling any product-specific compliance, risk control or AML responsibilities
  • To use appropriate means, tools and procedures to identify, evaluate, monitor, control and mitigate the risk of compliance and operation in relation to global custody services
  • To review policies and procedures, and analyze the compliance / operation risks in relation to new businesses / products / servicing / systems
  • To work with business unit management to enhance contingency planning and implementation to mitigate the effect of any disruption, to perform periodic reviews and tests of established continuity plans and procedures, to report findings to management and make recommendations for improvement. Key objectives are to ensure that the business unit can continue to manage custody service deliverables, satisfy regulatory obligations, and maintain our presence in the market
  • To act as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate parties for investigation and resolution
  • To monitoring and report the results of the compliance efforts of the Custody, and provide guidance to team members on matters relating to risk and compliance
  • To implement necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program

Requirements:
  • Degree or above
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in financial sectors, of which at least 2 years in risk control or compliance-related functions
  • Candidates with SFC qualifications for handling regulated activities or professional grooming in the areas of risk, compliance or AML would be preferable
  • Extensive knowledge of securities operations and the related risks, regulatory requirements and market developments.
  • Exposure to product management, product compliance and anti-money laundering monitoring markets and their related operations
  • Basic understanding about various types of institutional or corporate clients
  • Risk awareness and acute market sensitivity, being able to grasp the changes of regulatory environments and the latest requirements
  • Logical, analytical thinking, perseverance and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Custody Manager (Compliance)
