The main objective of this opening is to hire an experience candidate to lead the custody operation.

The candidate is required to have excellent inter-personal and leadership skill. He/She would be responsible to cover all activities related to Corporate Actions. He/She will also be acting as the escalation point for the client.

The candidate has to be very proactive and can work independently with minimal supervision in a multicultural environment with excellent teamwork. Meticulous and result oriented are also important for this position. Since the scope of the service covers different spectrum of activities, time management is crucial for this role.

Also, this role will be required to work with Clients, excellent communication skill with good client servicing are definitely important.

Ensure business delivery model compliance with regulations, market infrastructure evolution and BNP Paribas internal control rules:
• Meet compliance and regulatory obligations
• Minimize the operational risk across products and services
• Ensure the business continuity plan is available and tested
• Operational Risk to be followed in a permanent manner (KPI/BAU follow up) in order to act in the safest possible environment
• Regular review with OPC and ORC teams
• Ensure all the procedures are in place to follow BP2S Risk requests both at the client and process level
• Participate in product approval process, giving green light to start only if all procedures are in place to minimize risks


Essential Technical Knowledge/Skills :

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Action
• Supervise daily operation of corporate actions operation
• Liaise with Product Team for validating the feasibility of new products or offers related to custody.
• Work with Relationship Managers to validate client's service level agreement (SLA)
• Periodic review of operational procedure
• Handle requests from Internal Audit and Operation Control Team
• Monitor and provide advice to the outsourced Chennai corporate action team
• Review the ETF operating guideline

Qualifications and Experience :
• Degree Holder
• At least 6 years of experience in corporate actions
• Master with Local market systems - CCASS (C3T) / eMBT / eCMT
• Strong knowledge on IPO, ETF, Structured Products of HK Market
• Good knowledge on Swift Message (MT5XX)
• Fluent in English
• Strong project management/presentation skill

Other Value-added Competencies :

• Knowledge of ISO20022
• Knowledge of FATCA/ AEOI reporting
• Knowledge of securities equities custody, clearing, settlement process of HK market
• Knowledge of account opening process
• Knowledge of Project Management experience is a plus
• Strong skills of Excel Macro and MS office tools is a plus
