Credit Approver - Team Head/VP/AVP  50 -70k

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis on the credit proposals in according to the company policies and procedures as well as assist in credit risk monitoring to meet business objectives
  • Prepare risk management report as required by headquarter and HKMA
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and participate in ad-hoc assignments or projects

 

Job duties:

  • Maintain and update the credit report control list to reflect the progress of credit approval
  • Consolidate information of the proposals submitted by marketing department
  • Inspect and verify if the information contained in credit application or provided by the applicant is sufficient and accurate for credit evaluation to ensure compliance with the prevailing credit policies and guidelines
  • Make inquiries and requests for additional information or supporting documents if necessary
  • Perform credit & negative file checking on applicants and guarantors (if any) and seek clarification from marketing departments if there are any findings
  • Verify the current market value of the collaterals if needed in accordance with the guidelines
  • Prepare credit checklists and submit to department head for approval
  • Conduct detail credit analysis report must be supplemented if the transaction
  • Inform marketing departments for the credit decision/ result
  • Coordinate inspection request with credit control department or surveyor report with surveyor if necessary
  • Compiles monthly activity reports
  • Participate in monthly credit committee meeting and prepare minutes
  • Assist in credit risk monitoring and prepare related reports
  • Formulate and update the credit related policies, procedures and manuals
  • Strictly follow company policies, procedures and ethical requirements ensure the operation of daily activities are ethically and legally complied

 

Requirements
 

  • Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
  • 10 years banking experience in credit risk analysis, solid exposure in banking regulations and compliance would be a big advantage
  • Able to work independently and with good team spirit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese, including Putonghua
