A leading corporate bank is seeking credit analyst to join it's Hong Kong team, focussing on commercial banking clients.

Responsibilities:

  • The job primarily entails providing credit decision, completing the due diligence and preparing credit appraisals of commercial customers
  • The analyst needs to be abreast with industry trends and have sound understanding of analyzing financials statements
  • Analyst would interact with clients and conduct site/plant visit
  • Conduct an objective and thorough credit analysis of the credit-worthiness of borrowers using analysis of historical and projected financial statements, biographical data, market information, credit reports and identify key transactional risks & mitigants
  • Structuring credit proposals aligned with risk standards with understanding of the client's strategic and financial objectives/needs
  • Engage directly with customers on a periodic basis to monitor customers business health and give assessments and early warnings signals
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of bank credit and policies and practices and applicable local and regional regulations to assist the Business in achieving compliance and satisfactory internal and external audit results
  • Possess and develop strong market intelligence
  • Generate ideas for improving lending process efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in credit/finance domain
  • Degree holder with at least 2 -3 years of experience in a credit analyst role in commercial bank lending, remedial management or relationship management
  • Strong work ethic, clarity of thought and ability to communicate point of view
  • Proficient in spreadsheet (Excel) and other office applications
  • Ability to handle high volume, work under pressure and prioritize
  • Ability to propose appropriate credit structure
  • Good command of English and Mandarin
