Corporate Banking Fintech Analyst/Associate
Corporate Banking Analyst/Associate to support the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within Citi's Corporate Bank focusing on the Financial Technology (Fintech) client sector.

  • Work with sector coverage, relationships managers, product partners and other support functions to assist the Fintech team on regional coverage and meeting client needs
  • Deal flow will include loans, debt capital markets transactions, leveraged finance, securitization, markets products and transaction services
  • Tasks include:
  • Conducting comprehensive analysis of client's business, industry trends and competitive landscape within the Fintech industry
  • Preparation of transaction and annual review approval memos in close cooperation with the coverage and risk teams
  • Conducting accounting and financial statement analysis, as well as preparation of projections where relevant
  • Participate in customer due diligence and account documentation process as needed
  • Participate in new departmental initiatives to improve workflows and processes
  • Participate in leading the strategy for Fintech coverage across Asia including pipeline reviews, account planning, provision of thought leadership and trainings, event organization and support, etc.

  • Sound understanding of the Corporate Banking business and its related products
  • Exhibited interest, understanding or experience in Fintech client sector will be seen as a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of banking experience, ideally having gained an understanding of FI-specific risk issues
  • Knowledge of lending and credit approval process is a requirement. Familiarity with Citi's credit policies is a plus. Experience working with non-investment grade credit extension is a plus
  • Languages: English, Mandarin preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience with MS Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
