Position Description
Corporate Audit is responsible for providing an independent assessment of whether controlling processes within Bank of America are adequately designed and functioning effectively to mitigate potential risks. Corporate Audit maintains independence and objectivity by reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Corporate Audit teammates cover all areas of the corporation, performing validation of the company's risk management activities through testing of key processes and controls across the company.

Management and the Audit Committee are provided with regular reporting of Bank of America Merrill Lynch's risk management systems and internal controls. Additionally, Corporate Audit provides risk-based advice and counsel to management to help develop and maintain an appropriate customer-focused risk management culture that supports the Corporation's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
The Audit Regulatory Reporting Supervisor is accountable for fulfilling external requests addressed to Corporate Audit (including requests from regulators, external auditors and clients), and responsible for ensuring consistent quality and timeliness of submissions and outputs. As an Audit Supervisor, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Driving the Audit external/regulatory submission process including tracking, coordinating/compiling appropriate responses, managing the clearance/approval process, submission and filing
  • Maintaining the Audit inventories including Country Categorization of audit reports, standard responses and regulatory required/expected audits
  • Working closely with various Lines of Business/Country audit teams and liaising with Compliance to deliver external/regulatory submissions
  • Exercising judgment and critical thinking in providing suggestions to Country Audit Heads with regard to external/regulatory submissions, taking into account key trends in regulatory focus and local practices as applicable
  • Maintaining the Audit external/regulatory reporting process to maximize efficiency
  • Coordinating the APAC Legal Entities coverage attestation process
  • Reviewing the junior team member's work and providing advice/guidance as applicable

Key Requirements
Education/Work experience:
  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in Audit and (preferable)/or Compliance of global financial institution
  • Professional licenses e.g. CPA (preferable)

  • Ability to extract and use qualitative and quantitative data with attention to details
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to connect the dots and look at things at big picture level
  • Effective communication including fluent English language
  • Organizational skills and drive to get things done/follow through
