Reporting into Head of Marketing at the Bank, the Copywriting Lead will be primarily responsible to write and execute communications to prospects and Bank customers across various channels. He/she will play a key role in shaping the Bank tone of voice that delivers a brand experience that will win customer’s heart and help the Bank achieve their business objectives.

The Role and Responsibilities

  • Own the overall copy strategy, aligning with the corporate Tone of Voice guide and brand style
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Design to craft high quality creative content
  • Write creative copy for the emails, push notifications, website, blog, digital ads as well as social media channels including marketing campaign copy, video script, article and press release if required
  • Support Legal, Compliance, and Customer Service teams on content and copy vetting as required to ensure accuracy and consistency to brand material
  • Contribute to brand identity and voice by the creative content creation
  • Articulate a friendly language for different audiences or customer segments through different channels
  • Independently coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, from gathering requirements, to obtaining approvals, through implementing the content through different channel or product owners
  • Act as the gatekeeper to ensure accuracy and consistency of Bank content and language

 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent in both traditional Chinese and English writing skills. Fluency in Cantonese is required.
  • Preferably a degree in language, journalism or a related field
  • 5 - 7+ years of professional copywriting experience in agency, in-house, or with media publications
  • A portfolio that showcases his/her experience in developing copy for cross-channel media including both digital and conventional channels, and ability to produce long-form content (e.g. advertorials)
  • Sense of humour and creative mindset
  • Embraces technology with strong understanding of digital best practices
  • Agile mindset and ability to work plus adapt to change in a fast paced environment
