Our client is looking for a Compliance Assistant Manager to Join their team. This role report to Associate Director, Compliance and exists to provide support to Compliance units in Hong Kong and Singapore in various compliance areas (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering (AML)). The key result indicators for this role are timely complete periodic compliance checking with good quality, and meet the timeline of reviewing alerts associated with suspicious transactions and high- risk name matches.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Provide for daily and monthly compliance checks including defined compliance monitoring testing and transaction reporting in particular AML, FATCA and CRS 
• Help to perform Know Your Customer process and conduct enhanced customer due diligence if required 
• Review and investigate alerts associated with suspicious transactions and high-risk name matches 
• Participate in regulatory projects and provide advice to other business units from a compliance perspective 
• Assist the team to deliver compliance training 
• Perform periodic and ad-hoc distributors review and assessment 
• Provide for day-to-day compliance support to PRC cases

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal or equivalent education 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in AML compliance function of financial institution(s) 
• Sound knowledge of insurance product, compliance processes and regulatory requirements 
• Able to work independently and communicate with senior personnel confidently 
• Good command of both oral and written English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS Office applications
