Your role
Are you risk aware? Are you comfortable to engage clients in facilitating account closure as a consequence of compliance/strategic business reasons for the region? We are looking for someone like this to:

• process timely and compliant exit for identified clients according to predefined guidelines, facilitate closure and work down assets until liquidation is possible
• ensure plausibility of the instructions received from clients; review, identify and assess risks associated to transactions and/or status changes that are emerged in the existing relationship
• proactively follow up and ensure adherence of deadlines for all relevant risk driven remediation and ongoing risk monitoring activities
• provide subject matter expert advices to Business on topics relating to cross border/centralised markets during client life cycle
• work within business, functions and project teams to deliver on strategic projects and commitments

Your team
You'll be working in the Special Client Situation Desk within Wealth Management Team in Hong Kong to support UBS in achieving its strategic, operational and compliance objectives. The range of activities of the Special Client Situation Desk is restricted to closure of the relationship or account maintenance if illiquid positions are held. Together we provide a strong defense to migrate risks for the Bank.

Your expertise
You have:
• strong experience in private banking industry of which 5 years in front line servicing role
• good understanding of risk and compliance issues as well as general knowledge of relevant AML regulations in key jurisdictions in Asia including Hong Kong and Singapore
• ability to assess and spot issues quickly and make judgment decision on when to escalate to other functions, i.e. Legal and Compliance

You are:
• a great communicator, excellent in dealing and handling challenge situations and clients
• independent, diligent and effective in prioritization and exit management of client's book
• fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
