About the Team
J.P. Morgan is a market leader in Securities and Synthetic Prime Brokerage.  The Transition Manager is responsible for translating a sales mandate into an operational account by coordinating across Risk, Legal, Credit, Technology, Operations, KYC, Compliance and various Sales and Trading desks.  The role spans multiple products including cash, synthetic, and fixed income prime brokerage, as well as execution across cash, derivatives, F&O and portfolio swaps.  The aim is to deliver a seamless and timely implementation for our hedge fund clients.
 
Responsibilities:



  • Client focus:  Ensure that client requirements and sales mandate are delivered with a sense of urgency; as well as adherence to controls and the regulatory framework.  The Transition manager acts as a single point of contact for the client while facing-off internally across multiple business lines and different support groups.  The Transition process will also encompass third-parties involved such as client vendors, ECN's, Fund Administrators and other authorized interests.


  • Project management:  End-to-end project management accountable to both the client and business owners.  Accountable for delivering fully operational accounts in a timely manner.  Ability to identify potential differences between current JPM offering and client requirements from the onset of on-boarding, and work with client and internal partners to solve.


  • Internal partner coordination:  Coordination across JPMorgan teams globally throughout the transition process. In particular, building strong relationships with Sales and Trading, Client Solutions, Credit, Risk, Legal, Client Service and Technology teams in order to facilitate client timelines.  Serve as initial point of escalation for internal support teams. 


  • Strong negotiation skills: A key function of the Transition process is ensuring the legal negotiations progress in a timely and efficient manner. The Transition manager is responsible for providing the business context around the legal points as well as driving the discussions forward effectively.
