Main Responsibilities

  • Swaps and Delta One Sales - Execute client orders for synthetics (p-notes, swaps, forwards, repo, convertible bonds) and getting borrow for shorts
  • Achieving best execution and giving timely reports back to clients. Provide ideas and market coverage so that clients give SocGen more business
  • To focus on some of the more Equity Finance parts of the business such as funding, collateral upgrades, Corporate Action trades etc. To search for inventory from Asian Asset Manager's for Equity Finance trading
  • Develops new clients by pitching trade ideas and executing trades, identify their needs and establish a long-term trading relationship
  • Systematically cold-calls new prospects, visit many clients / prospects during the year and reacts swiftly when an opportunity arises
  • Market Intelligence - Knows the market, the needs of each client segment, what competitors do in terms of products
  • Feedback market information to management, other teams to improve capabilities of the platform
  • Teamwork - work closely and back-up other team members to ensure client business continuity
  • Strong Sales & Trading Alignment, develop dialogue regionally & globally to facilitate information sharing and to foster cross selling and client referral
  • Be a role model for junior staff (demonstrate drive and professionalism) - Lead by example to junior staff of the team
  • Cross Sell - To work alongside Prime Services, Cash Equity and Flow sales in the cross-sell efforts moving forward


Key Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in Equity Finance, Prime Services, Synthetic sales
  • Autonomous and reliable in dealing with client relationship
  • Ability to present to the business at Senior level both externally and internally
  • To be a team player, work well under pressure, always demonstrate honesty & integrity
  • Good analytical skills, familiarity with order execution
  • Demonstrated ability to form close working relationships both internally and externally
