Delivering high-quality research and analysis to investors around the world, the Global Research team covers economics, currencies, equities, fixed income and climate change to help our clients best navigate and make sense of turbulent global financial markets. Global Research offers fundamental, cross-asset, technical and quantitative analysis presented through multiple platforms and formats.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate Director, Global Research.

Principal responsibilities

  • Identify, collect and maintain news flow and data that influence and affect the company, sector or asset class.
  • Attend morning meeting, work with valuation and financial models to coordinate ideas and investment thesis across countries and sectors.
  • Utilize market data applications such as Bloomberg, Datastream, Wind, etc.
  • Contribute to the drafting process of company reports, flash notes & sector reports under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Develop investment strategies and provide insightful commentary on the latest financial news flow for respective companies covered.
  • Produce specific research relevant to global industry developments and trends.
  • Assist with internal leadership and help manage and build client relationships, including senior management, and institutional and corporate clients.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the regional and global client bases across Asian credit

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting, economics or finance
  • Ability to create, communicate, present, and sell ideas
  • Strong interest in the business of research, financial modelling and data management
  • Some experience in equity research either as an associate or analyst
  • Some investor client relationships
  • Ability to manage large data sets
  • Understanding of client service techniques and requirements
  • Ability to produce actionable research notes quickly and cleanly
  • Written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua preferred
