Bring your career aspirations to life with AIA! Work with the team lead and countries to build actuarial expertise in understanding Critical Illness (CI) risks and developing CI business and be the focal point of CI pricing and experience analysis for the countries. You will work with the team lead and countries to build actuarial expertise in understanding Critical Illness (CI) risks and developing CI business and be the focal point of CI pricing and experience analysis for the countries.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to support local product and pricing teams in understanding, pricing, and reserving for the risks of Critical Illness (CI) products
  • Work closely with Group and local product teams to develop new CI products and price features based on detailed understanding of the risk
  • Provide guidance to countries on experience analysis for material CI portfolios
  • Set claims definitions and exclusions based on medical expertise for existing risks
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across AIA group and BUs and share best practice on pricing and risk assessment
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team of actuaries, data scientists, medical experts, and researchers
  • Provide support and guidance to the senior actuarial associate on the team

Minimum Job Requirements

  • University graduate with minimum 8 years actuarial experience
  • In-depth knowledge of assessment, pricing, and management of CI risks
  • Fellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional body
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills, numerical sense, and attention to detail
  • Proven effective work delivery in dynamic, agile and/or complex multifunctional organizations
  • Practical knowledge of life insurance products
  • Self-starter
  • Strong technical skills and negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working across geographic boundaries and cultures and shows respect and sensitivity for cultural diversity, treats people with respect regardless of their position or status, exhibits high standard of integrity in decision making, and adheres to extremely high ethical codes of conduct
