Corporate Technology Services (CTS) is Technology Unit responsible for supporting various corporate functions in Nomura. This role will be part of Asia Ex-Japan (AEJ) Control & Core Corporate IT team within CTS primarily responsible for supporting and interacting with Compliance teams in the region. AEJ team members are based in Hong Kong and Singapore offices and work closely with global team members based out of Japan, EMEA, US and offshore locations.

Functional Overview

Corporate Technology Services (CTS) is Technology Unit responsible for supporting various corporate functions in Nomura. This role will be part of Asia Ex-Japan (AEJ) Control & Core Corporate IT team within CTS primarily responsible for supporting and interacting with Compliance teams in the region. AEJ team members are based in Hong Kong and Singapore offices and work closely with global team members based out of Japan, EMEA, US and offshore locations.

Responsibilities:

•Work with regional Compliance stakeholders for requirements gathering, analysis and create / review design documents
•Provide guidance to the development team to define technology solution and provide oversight during all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle
•Support Compliance user queries which often require data analysis as well as in depth review of technical/business logic with in applications
•Partner with support teams for issue resolution and ensure platform is supportable from a production standpoint
•Manage and own mid-size and complexity application development projects
•Represent Compliance IT in front to back projects and interact with upstream system owners for impact analysis and manage Compliance deliverables
•In addition to Compliance, act as local IT support contact for other corporate divisions including Legal, HR, Internal Audit and Corporate Real Estate Services

Requirements:

•5-8 year experience in Regulatory Compliance function as a Technical Business Analyst interfacing with Compliance stakeholders
•Strong data management and analysis skills. Prior hands on experience on database and ETL technologies a plus
•Functional knowledge and exposure to Trade and E-Comm surveillance platforms. Including vendor products like Actimize and SMARTS
•Good understanding of financial products and trade and settlement workflows
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to clearly articulate and communicate at all levels in the organization
•Must be able to work independently and with minimum supervision
•Ability to work in dynamic environment, quickly adapting to changing priorities while maintaining a strong sense of urgency
