Our clients, tier one leading Private Banks are looking for multiple Associate/AVP/VP to join their KYC or Documentation team. Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within Private Banking KYC/Documentation will be ideal. For VP level, require strong people and stakeholder management

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team that supports the execution of controls and tasks required in the Client Onboarding process, ensuring that client documentation of different types of accounts (Individual, PIC, Corporate & Trust etc.), name screening and data capture activities meet the Bank's policies, standards, and applicable local legal and regulatory requirements
  • Act as a point of contact for concerns or issues from Front Office or various business partners
  • Support change-the-bank projects in view of APAC division's strategic objectives and vision
  • Uphold the highest standards of control, always keeping data integrity in mind while supervising day-to-day matters
  • Stay relevant with the latest regulatory, policy and procedural requirements
  • Take ownership of relevant procedural documentation and ensure procedures are updated on a timely basis
  • Raise higher risk matters or regulatory questions to the Financial Crime Compliance team
  • Represent PB Client Onboarding in regulatory & audit initiatives
  • Drive delivery of training requirements and conduct training on client onboarding processes as required
  • Drive and deliver continuous operational improvements, in view of the changing operating and regulatory environment

Requirements:

  • For VP, require a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in KYC Documentation within Private Banking sectors. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate/AVP within their KYC team
  • At least 2-3 years working experience in people management and have a strong background in leading small teams
  • Strong analytical mindset to push back or drive new initiative
  • Knowledge of client screening - world check, Factiva, Lexis Nexis and similar other databases
  • A team-player, committed to service delivery excellence and always having the bank and clients' best interests in mind
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal with both internal (FO bankers) and external stakeholders
  • University graduate with business or finance degree is preferred
