Assistant Vice President, Technology Audit (Technology Audit Manager)
Job Summary

Join our Technology Audit team and be a trusted advisor to one of the world's major exchange groups. Working closely with the Head of Technology Audit, you will participate in audit plan development, audit execution and presentation of findings to the senior management. The assurance services provided by you will not only help HKEX build sustainable operations and maintain its competitive advantage, but also protect the core financial infrastructure in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in IT infrastructure / application within the Internal Audit team and provide independent advise on key HKEX initiatives / projects

  • Conduct a broad range of cybersecurity and IT audits with the aim to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes that support HKEX's business strategies and operations

  • Identify key IT & cybersecurity risks, test and evaluate controls, identify issues and develop practical and value-added recommendations to improve the control environment and process efficiencies

  • Prepare high quality internal audit reports for senior executives

  • Participate in departmental initiatives aimed at continuously improving the quality of Internal Audit's processes and methodology

Other Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop junior team members

  • Advise stakeholders on relevant technical issues

  • Participate in job rotation arrangements

Requirements

Knowledge and Qualification

  • In-depth knowledge of the applicable standards and frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, COBIT, COSO and ISO 27001

  • Strong understanding of the underlying cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities of Cloud, networking technologies, data, threat detection and prevention systems, virtualization, and emerging technologies

  • Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure & application risks and controls

  • Able to multi-task and complete assignments efficiently and effectively

  • University degree plus relevant qualifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC or other security related qualifications

Work experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in an accounting/consulting firm or internal audit / IT risk role within the financial services industry
