Assistant Vice President, Project Management & Planning Manager

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigned Special / Strategic Projects that will either strengthen the foundation of Business Care or transform Business Care to the next level
  • Work with leadership team of Business Care to identify areas for improvement. Work with the analytics team to utilize data to interpret trends, insights, performance gaps or opportunities for improvements
  • Engage in improvement projects including but not limited to customer journeys / employee, demand projects, process improvements and technology-related or digitization
  • Drive business case, including stakeholders buy-in, clear objectives, impact analysis, high level timelines & measurements to projects
  • Use agile or other methods of project management, create drumbeat review process for the project to ensure that deliverable at each milestone can clearly be tracked and measured
  • Participate and learn in discussions within team or wider Business Care to deepen understanding of customer / call center operations, key drivers & measurements

Requirements

  • Degree holder with minimum 8 years' experience in operations preferably in a customer / call centre or operational environment
  • Strong foundation in project management; familiarity with agile methodology is a plus
  • Analytical, able to draw trends & interpret statistics. Overall comfortable with numbers. Previous experience in business modelling, business case justification, financial planning / mgmt is an advantage
  • Strategic & exhibit critical thinking. Able to see trends and draw conclusions from data & findings; able to support decision making process strategically by framing options with pros & cons, with foresight & big picture in mind.
  • Fast & effective learner. Able to grasp & apply concepts such as "failure demand", ZCR (Zero Call Resolution), SSB (Self-service Banking) & FCR (First Call Resolution)
  • Good presentation, communication & articulation skills - equally effect with an "elevator pitch" as in a presentation to senior leadership
  • Able to manage stakeholders well, experienced in managing conflicts. Ability to work in ambiguous environment is a plus.
  • Energetic, enjoys driving change & solving new problems
  • Team player; demonstrable ability to collaborate widely across the organization
  • Able to communicate well in English and Chinese
