Responsibilities

Process design/Process Improvement
  • Establish and enhance policies & procedures/guidelines for CBG business operations and consumer banking products/services to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements & corporate guidelines and adequate control.
  • Regular review of end to end processes, identify areas for continuous improvement to ensure operational effectiveness, sufficient control and risk mitigation are in place
  • Take proactive role to provide operational requirement for system enhancement to automate manual processes and build in control
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including terms & conditions, forms and vouches to promote effective operations and protection of interest to both the Bank and customer with compliance to corporate & regulatory requirements
  • Assess, implement and support any improvement ideas that are supported with business justification
Daily Support
  • Provide professional hotline services
  • Periodical review of training material s for CB Products
New Product/services support
  • Participate and support NPA process from CBG business operation perspective to ensure that the operational risk is assessed, addressed and mitigated
  • Support and coordinate with other related departments in implementation of the new product/service in respect of workflow, processes and form design
  • Ensure that the operation procedures for new products / service are effective and compliant with group policies/guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct briefing to branches as appropriate and necessary
Compliance & Control
  • Work closely with but not limited to Audit, CSS, CECA and other BMS Sections on internal control review, audit and regulatory examination
  • Prepare process checklist for branch on thematic audit review
  • Ensure all consumer banking products / services / business operations that are in compliance with the group policies/guidelines & regulatory requirements prior to implementation
  • Monitor and make sure that audit and regulator's comments are well addressed
  • Ensure SLA with support units to meet business needs and regulatory requirements
  • Participate and support major projects that have impact on business operation processes and procedures
Requirements
- Good command of English and Cantonese
- PC knowledge
- Strong field knowledge in banking & branch operations and related regulations
- Effective planning and organized
- Decisive, analytical & methodical
- Able to work independently and under pressure
