Assistant Vice President, Personal Banking Credit Risk

The jobholder is responsible for managing credit risks and approving retail loan applications arising from secured lending and streamlining credit operations to enhance efficiency and Bank’s profitability.



•Conduct credit review, recommendations and approval (with delegated credit authority) on loans applications in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies and guidelines as well as in compliance with the requirements of the local regulatory

•Manage loan application and approval cycle

•Formulate application and approval procedures and guidelines for retail products

•Identify potential credit risks inherent in credit proposals and make recommendations according to the Bank’s policy

•Implement application-processing system for continuous improvement of operational efficiency, risk control, service level and credit quality

•Handle other credit / risk assignments and ad hoc project as assigned by supervisor




•University degree holder in Business, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines

•Minimum 8 years’ solid experience in credit risk management of retail banking products with independent delegated approval authority

•Holder of ACIB / FRM would be an added advantage

•Solid knowledge of retail banking products and their operations, banking regulations and compliance, in particular mortgage related loans

•A team player with strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

•Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua)
