Assistant Vice President - Corporate Communications (Strategic Communications - HKEX Foundation)
The HKEX Foundation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), is set up to act as a single channel and a point of focus for the HKEX Group's philanthropic efforts as well as a key interface for community engagement. This newly established role will focus on the operation of the HKEX Foundation and will work alongside colleagues in the broader Corporate Communications Department which is responsible for managing HKEX's internal and external communications, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and volunteering events.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as the key player within the Group to engage with different business units on driving the Group's philanthropic and community engagement objectives
  • Organise and manage the Group's volunteering activities in accordance with the Group's philanthropic and volunteering work plan
  • Provide support to the board of directors of the HKEX Foundation and other philanthropy-related committees and working groups within the Group to ensure the effective implementation of its activities on community engagement and charitable donations
  • Prepare communications of the Foundation' community giving and engagement efforts for both internal and external stakeholders. This may include but not be limited to internal management reports, annual CSR reports, newsletters, press release, social media and website updates
  • Conduct effective due diligence to ensure that the Foundation's resources and reputation are protected
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with a broad array of stakeholders such as the government bodies, regulators, charity partners, policy advocacies, academia and wider community groups
  • Track and conduct impact analysis on major philanthropic and employee volunteering initiatives in accordance with the best practices and make recommendations for future development
  • Conduct research on the local and international community engagement and CSR policies, legislations, requirements and relevant best practices
  • Provide administrative support to the Foundation's day-to-day operation
  • Assist in all other tasks and duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Be a self-motivated, organised, confident, collaborative person who embraces the highest level of integrity and has a strong desire to achieve and deliver excellence
  • Have a positive attitude, be prepared to 'roll their sleeves up' and want to have out a career in one of Hong Kong's most influential companies, at a time when Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and CSR stewardship are increasing in global relevance
  • Be intellectually curious, aware of the critical role that we play in the community and with a passion for what we can achieve
  • Have university educated - a degree in Business Administration, Corporate Communications, CSR, Sustainability or relevant disciplines would be advantageous
  • Have at least 6 to 8 years of experience in a charitable foundation or trust operation, or in CSR, sustainability consulting or corporate communications role
  • Be experienced in organising initiatives to promote one or more of the following themes: Financial Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion, Poverty Relief and Environmental Sustainability
  • Be experienced working with local NGOs and/or academia and be familiar with local social and environmental policies and agenda
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis and develop practical solutions
  • Be a strong communicator with an excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese essential, Putonghua ideally)
  • Be conversant with computer software such as MS Office and Adobe suite
  • Be able to work independently and with strong organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
