We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager, Business Financial Crime Risk.

Principal responsibilities
  • Management and improvement of SCC and PEP registers ensuring accurate and complete information to provide robust MI for management oversight
  • Support the INHK Customer Selection and Exit Management Secretariat including collection and processing all required client information to ensure the efficient decision making. Maintenance of Customer Selection and Exit Management master lists, MI consolidation and Customer Selection and Exit Management committee agenda preparation
  • Support the management of AML and Sanctions related FIM and policy updates within INHK
  • Generate MI reports on a predetermined frequency ensuring governance adherence
  • Identify opportunities for improving data management and consistency
  • Involvement in other Business Financial Crime Risk initiatives, MI requests and governance pack preparation, as required. Areas may include the business conduct agenda.
  • Support to senior management in relation to other corporate project work as required
  • Build strong relationships with relevant business and functional areas, develop a positive working relationship enabling a collaborative approach

  • ​Degree holder with solid experience in Business Financial Crime Risk
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently across cultures
  • Experience of working in a complex financial services organisation and demonstrable insurance business knowledge
  • Understanding of HSBC strategy, organisation, systems and processes
  • Good understanding of client information to ensure sufficient materials are submitted to the Client Selection Committees for decisioning
  • Good understanding of Financial Crime Compliance, AML, Sanctions and Due Diligence.
  • Good understanding of Control Office responsibilities within Insurance Business
  • Computer literate and ability to work on basic applications like Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong Communication skills in written and verbal English
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving and changing priorities
  • Drive and motivation to ensure delivery in a challenging environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy and tight deadlines
  • Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic team player
  • A keen eye for detail, together with strong administrative and organisational skills
