Asset Management Operations Vice President
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily fund operations and client onboarding processes, including:
- Providing onboarding guidance to clients
- Conducting risk disclosure procedures
- Reviewing account opening documentation
- Opening and maintaining accounts with local and global custodians
- Perform daily operational support for QFII and RQFII accounts.
- Monitor and evaluate fund performance, including NAV review and oversight of external fund managers.
- Monitor settlement activities and perform daily reconciliation of cash, positions, and transactions.
- Prepare management reports, portfolio performance reports, and key control metrics for senior management and head office.
- Perform trust reconciliations and maintain SPC-related records and information.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including custodians, trustees, fund administrators, legal advisors, and technology vendors.
- Support the Product Team in preparing fund-related reporting materials and operational deliverables.
- Prepare regulatory filings and compliance-related reporting.
- Participate in UAT testing and support system enhancements prior to production rollout.
- Assist with new fund launches, operational process improvements, automation initiatives, and ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in asset management operations, fund services, or investment operations.
- Solid experience in fund operations, NAV oversight, settlement, reconciliations, and KYC/account onboarding processes.
- Knowledge of QFII and RQFII operations is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of equity and fixed income products.
- Eligible to be registered as a Type 9 (Asset Management) Licensed Representative under the Hong Kong SFC.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
