APAC Planning & Analysis team actively supports the regional CEO, CFO and management team in helping implement the regional agenda by making available accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis and leading various cross-LOB projects. Members of the team may work independently or may need to partner with teammates across geographies on projects with regional or global impact. The team works closely with the Asia CFO and has high level of exposure to the Regional Management Committee.

• Support the development of reporting initiatives including the International Reporting Framework and business performance analysis
• Development and review of ad-hoc analysis to support various senior management discussions
• Assist the team lead/subgroups on mission critical activities
• Review and analysis of APAC financials during annual planning process - partnering with countries and LOBs to ensure the accuracy of plan
• Partner with P&A teams (both regional & global) within and outside CIB to drive the international reporting agenda
• Act as point of contact for various infrastructure and strategic projects - regionally and globally
• Act as supporting guide to support hub teams to ensure smooth execution of tasks

Experience and qualifications:

• Detail oriented and result driven without compromising on control
• Ability to interact, partner with and support senior members of the finance organization
• Ability to understand data and translate it into MIS that facilitates decision making
• Ability to partner with senior team members and support in driving senior management objective to their desired outcomes
• Strong communication skills at all levels - confident and organised with the ability to provide logical reasoning on data analytics
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team and adhere to strict deadlines
• Ability to listen, think, digest and take structured actions to handle high pressure situations
• Ability to influence teams/individuals not within same reporting line

• Good understanding of the financial services industry and basic understanding of products. Prior experience in management reporting and analysis would be beneficial
• Ability to interrogate and interpret financial reports
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
• Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills. Working knowledge of Tableau, Xceptors will be an added advantage
• Prior use of MIS tools such as DRR, Paragon, FDW, HCR and WCP preferred
• Basic knowledge of accounting and ledger system preferred
