Role Description / Areas of Responsibility

  • The candidate will be working within the HK Settlements team to ensure that all HK market activities are processed and settled within relevant deadlines. Main functions are:
    • To ensure all transactions are settled on a daily basis.
    • To ensure exception queues are monitored and cleared before market deadlines
    • To ensure all settlement reports are submitted before relevant deadlines
    • To follow up with relevant Middle Offices to resolve any breaks, fails or issues
    • Knowledge of ETF creation / redemption and e-IPO application
    • Familiar with the SFC client money rules and regulations & has experience in handling client assets
  • The candidate will also assist the team manager to perform oversight of activities performed by teams in Powai. Main functions are:
    • To produce reports and MIS for management review
    • To follow up with Powai teams to resolve outstanding items

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required
  • Languages: English, Cantonese
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good analytical skills and ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Settlement knowledge of securities product (Bonds and Equities), and Macro/programming skills are preferred
