•Understanding of overall and specific risks within the process, controls available to mitigate such risks and open risks, in supporting the business. Ability to identify gaps / issues / outliers as they arise and escalate timely / seek help.
•Assist in the design and implementation of Operation Tax compliance framework
•Ability to provide governance for Tax Reporting / Tax processes
•Testing of Tax controls and compiling with defined tax obligation
•Preparation, validation and maintenance of documents, report to transaction tax liabilities for the Firm and Clients
•Ensuring smooth execution of projects (i.e. CRS / US 871m)
•Partnering with key stakeholders (i.e. Tax/ Finance / Business/ IT and Vendors)
•Partnering with Tax to design and implement Operation Tax workflow
•Partnering with internal and external key stakeholders to start Quality Assurance Program on Tax Reporting
•Ensuring timely submission of Tax Reporting
•Analysis of tax related exceptions report, investigation around breaks and identification of the root cause
•Participate in implementation of process improvement and technology enhancement
•Proactively recommend innovations and modifications in line with Ops objectives and goals to improve operational efficiency.
Key Experience & Skills
•A Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with Tax Operations / Auditing, candidate with less experience will be consider as Analyst role
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or related subject required
•Prior project implementation experience would be an advantage
•Experienced with transactional tax liabilities report (i.e. Stamp duties, withholding taxes and capital gain taxes etc.) would be an advantage
•Able to articulate clearly and concisely (verbal and written) in all levels throughout the organization
•A self-starter with a strong attention to details, ability to multitask and enjoys problem solving
•Strong analytic skills
•A quick learner in new products and systems; can thrive in a challenging constantly changing environment
•A dynamic and hardworking person, with a strong character and excellent inter-personal skills
