Our client, a well-reputed regional bank, is seeking a seasoned operations professional to join their Trade Support Operations division at the AVP level. This pivotal mandate oversees the daily execution and operational lifecycle for complex treasury products, structural investments, and derivatives portfolios.

responsibilities.

• Provide robust operational oversight, day-to-day management, and flawless execution across all middle- and back-office trade support functions under the section's mandate.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing, settlement, and reconciliation for a sophisticated product suite including FX, Equity Derivatives, OTC Derivatives, Structured Swaps, and Linked Deposits.
• Review and authorize high-value payment instructions to preserve absolute financial integrity, optimize portfolio performance, and eliminate settlement risk.
• Act as the primary operational collaborator and strategic liaison with internal Trading Desks, regional counterparts, and external Interbank institutional partners.
• Direct the processing and bespoke settlement of OTC derivatives tailored specifically for Private Banking clients, ensuring an uncompromising standard of service quality.
• Synthesize complex operational data to deliver comprehensive, high-level status, project milestones, and performance reporting directly to Senior Management.
• Review, optimize, and engineer continuous process improvements and update standard operating procedures to elevate efficiency and proactively mitigate operational risk.
• Lead, mentor, and resource a high-performing operations team while enforcing strict compliance with all applicable local and international regulations and risk frameworks.

requirements

• A university degree holder, with a strong preference for disciplines in Economics, Finance, or equivalent prestigious professional banking qualifications.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive, pedigree experience within financial services operations, demonstrating a proven track record of supervising or managing Trade Support or Middle Office functions within a major financial institution.
• Deep technical mastery of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, clearing mechanics, and operational nuances associated with Equity Derivatives, FX, and complex Structured Products (e.g., Linked Deposits, OTC Derivatives).
• Comprehensive understanding of local and cross-border banking regulations governing treasury instruments, coupled with strong technical familiarity with institutional banking systems and architectures.
• An articulate, risk-aware team leader possessing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• An immaculate command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in both Cantonese and Mandarin) to navigate a diverse regional stakeholder landscape.
