Job Background/Context:
  • The Markets Relationship function exists to provide a bespoke service and to develop a strategic relationships with the senior management of Citi's platinum clients, and also to ensure that Citi Markets and Sec Svc are well briefed on an ongoing basis on the strategy and priorities of the client. The individual will require a sound knowledge of all Citi's Markets Products and Services and the relevant teams who provide coverage to each client.  The individual will readily swap/share new ideas with the APAC as well as the Global RM Team to help the overall team to succeed. An ability to cover both Real Money and HF accounts is required. Each team member provides support and back up to each other team member wherever possible. RMs act as ambassadors of Citi's franchise at all times
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong C-Suite and Senior Relationships with Platinum/Priority Clients in APAC - acting as champion of Citi to clients and of clients to Citi
  • Keep Citi Snr Mgt and coverage teams up to date with client strategy and priorities, as well as material developments at the client, including senior personnel changes, changes to business model and new priorities
  • Monitor client trading activity on an ongoing basis - assuming overall accountability for maximizing the client wallet, rankings and profitability in APAC
  • Lead the Markets part of Platinum client reviews and presentations as required
  • Respond swiftly and efficiently to client requests and queries to ensure a high level of client satisfaction, always being seen by clients as a first call, a trusted adviser and an effective problem solver
  • Understand fully how Citi's different product areas work, interact with them proactively thus helping enable you to navigate Citi effectively for clients
  • Be an effective partner to the coverage teams, helping them navigate the often complex client organisational structure and helping them negotiate any internal roadblocks to increasing business
  • Be knowledgeable of and fully promote Citi Markets' priorities
  • Be prepared to travel as reasonably required
  • Be prepared to entertain including evenings and weekends as reasonably required
  • Cover unexpected events by demonstrating flexibility to core working hours


  • Markets experience and a track record of consistent success in a senior sales or RM position
  • Knowledge of Citi and Citi Markets
  • Understanding of different types of Citi clients (HF, Real Money, SWF etc.)
