They have strong local presences in the US, Europe as well as Australia and Asia where each investment professional brings deep networks and understanding of their local market.

The firm's Munich European Origination team is seeking a high-calibre Associate to source and originate new investments and portfolio company add-ons. As a key member of their Origination team, you will be responsible for leading the investment sourcing strategy across the DACH region as well as in one or more of their sectors across Europe. What the job involves

• Leading efforts at identifying and sourcing companies across the DACH region as well as in one or more sector verticals across Europe
• Growing and nurturing relationships with target company CEOs, founders, advisors, investment banks, corporate finance advisors and commercial advisors
• Working closely with investment teams to identify and complete new investments and portfolio company add-on acquisitions
• Working in concert with the Origination team across Europe as well as globally, including maintaining up-to-date deal sourcing database
• Leveraging the marketing and communications resources of the firm and generating new marketing ideas and concepts

Who we are looking for

• A strong academic background (bachelor's or master's degree)
• Initial experience in investment origination, deal sourcing, and/or investment banking, private equity, management consulting or similar
• Ability to identify target companies, establish contact with those both in volume and with custom, thoughtful messaging, the ability to build and nurture relationships
• The right candidate will possess a confident presence and communication skills with a hands-on attitude and approach
• Understanding of business models and strong judgment to evaluate them in an investment capacity
• Fluency with data systems and tools to support sourcing and origination effort
• Business fluent in German and English
