They are now looking to hire an M&A Associate / Manager in Hamburg to expand their business in Germany as an integral part of their continued growth journey after already having built a successful presence in four Nordic countries. In this role, you will work independently and fully responsibly and thereby be given the chance to being challenged and professionally develop by owning the entire M&A cycle and continuously following up with management, board, and owners.
The role will be based in Hamburg, and you will report to the Group CFO based in Helsinki, as well as working closely with other group management.
What the job involves - Development and execution of the company's M&A strategy in Germany together with the management
- Identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets
- Planning and management of projects as well as independent execution of acquisition processes and planning the integration of acquired companies
- Carry out business cases, synergy calculations and valuation proposals
- Presenting and selling cases to the Executive Committee and the Board
- Acting and taking responsibility as the company's representative towards potential sellers/targets
- Balanced classification both financially and operationally of upsides/downsides of each case
- Relationship building/maintenance both internally as well as externally
Who we are looking for - Relevant first experience in M&A within e.g., the Big 4, corporate finance or an investment boutique
- Proven track record in the full M&A cycle from sourcing to SPA negotiation
- Highly confident demeanour in financial analysis of corporate information and a solid understanding of corporate economics
- Entrepreneurial mindset and an independet, outgoing personality
- Motivated and driven character, prepared to be the operational lead of the expansion ambitions
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- A high level of execution ability and independence and the ability to think strategically and to see the big picture
