The Business Resource Management (BRM) team is an established team in charge of XVA trading (CVA, FVA, KVA) as well as management of financial resources and optimisation of their usage. The team is looking to hire a Vice President, based in Frankfurt, who will help support its activities in Europe.

Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. Role description:

  • Working closely with our sales and structuring teams to design structured financing proposals suited to our client needs
  • Performing fundamental credit analysis, modelling and assessing value of corporate cash flows/collateral
  • Driving risk approval and due diligence processes for new trades
  • Executing trades and associated hedges
  • Assisting in the day-to-day management of the Structured Credit Trading Business processes
  • Assisting in managing existing risks (operational, credit, rates/etc) on the book

Key objectives critical to success:

  • Fluent in Derivatives across multiple asset classes: IR, FX, Credit
  • Good quantitative skills and understanding of models: CVA, FVA, Capital models
  • Good communication skills as they will be the main contact for all XVA matters in Europe
  • Capable of creating close relationships with other Trading desks

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Previous experience in trading, specifically focusing on all aspects of XVA trading
  • Advanced Risk Management skills
  • Independent thinker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail, especially with regard to legal documentation, pricing, risk management
  • Highly energetic with an entrepreneurial mind-set and the ability to assess positions and portfolios across several criteria
  • Self-starter
  • Proven ability to learn and understand new concepts
  • Willingness to go the extra-mile when required
  • Excellent prioritization and decision making skills
