For our Research Department in Frankfurt we are looking for a:

                                                             Junior Equity Research Analyst (F/M)

 

Role and responsibilities:

  • Full-time equity research (sell-side) analyst position covering German Small and Midcap stocks
  • Each Junior Analyst will have an experienced senior analyst as mentor
  • Building and maintaining financial models
  • Analysis of company reports and industry trends; drafting research reports and presentations
  • Regular interaction with companies under coverage, either on C- or IR-level; interpretation of company commentary
  • Active communication with the internal Sales and Trading department
  • Early participation in analyst marketing roadshows and relationship building with MAINFIRST’s institutional investor client base
  • Entrepreneurial environment with scope to progress to a primary analyst role  very quickly

 

Qualifications:

  • Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) and deep understanding of financial markets
  • Strong quantitative & analytical skills
  • Knowledge and ability to model company accounts is essential. Knowledge of the banking industry an advantage.
  • Presentation skills and ability to actively market an equity story to internal and external clients
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office programmes (in particular Excel and Powerpoint)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Additional knowledge of French or Italian would be an advantage
