The principal focus of the role will be to support senior team members to increase Insight’s assets under management in Germany with the main focus on Liability Driven Investment (LDI), fixed income, absolute return and multi asset.

Key Responsibilites;

• Help senior team members in developing and maintaining strong (formal and informal) knowledge based relationships with key contacts in Germany
• Help identifying and pursuing new opportunities for growth in assets under management within Insight’s key strategies
• Develop and evolve (analytical) tools to support sale of Insight’s key strategies
• Prepare and evolve marketing and pitch material as well as review meeting packs
• Project manage/be accountable for new client take-on, liaison with portfolio management, product specialists, quantitative analysts, legal team, finance, operations, KVGs and custodians as well as preparation of client agreements relevant to jurisdiction
• Engage in regular ‘out of cycle’ meetings and/or contact to ensure proactive engagement; cross sell and further evolve client relationship in a soft sell/consultative manner
• Stay on top of relevant regulatory, accounting and operational requirements

Whilst ideally seeking a native German speaker with 1+ years relevant work experience in financial services, Insight is also happy to consider candidates with a transferable skill set, including university graduates.  Most importantly their desire is to attract individuals with strong analytical and communication skills who show energy, real drive and enthusiasm for what they do. They seek candidates who have a collaborative approach towards delivering a successful outcome and who have strong client engagement skills.  Ideally candidates will demonstrate:

• Quantitative background, e.g. actuary (in training)
• Advanced excel skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships (internally and externally)
• Knowledge of the German institutional marketplace
• Highly motivated to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Ability/potential to develop and manage client relationships at differing levels
• Ability/potential to develop deep understanding of regulatory requirements (pension funds, insurers), relevant accounting principles, fund structures and operational set-up (e.g. KVG)
• Knowledge of investment markets, investment management theory and ability to articulate this well
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• German speaker; good English language skills (oral and written) essential
