We're looking for a Senior Solution Designer to drive the design of our Settlement platform under Mainframe & distributed systems. This role focuses on high-level, transversal functional design, emphasizing strategic insight and architectural knowledge.

Your day-to-day mission

• Translate business needs into optimal functional solutions within the Euroclear ecosystem.
• Ensure alignment with architectural principles and long-term strategic goals.
• Provide expert support during production escalations, offering a transversal perspective.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks proactively.
• Act as a reference point for settlement-related functional design.
• Drive strategic initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Foster creative thinking and collaboration between internal teams, vendors, and outsourcing partners.
• Lead high-level analysis and guide detailed implementation.
• Drive solution definition and ensure design integrity throughout delivery.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• 5+ years of experience in functional design.
• Experience within financial settlement systems is a nice to have.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to challenge and validate third-party solutions and budgets.
• Risk awareness and anticipation mindset.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication.

• Experience working with outsourced and offshored teams.
• Experience in costs, risks & resource planning & forecasting.
• Experience in leading high-level and detailed functional analysis.

About the Team

The Group Business Solutions (GBS) division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
