Position Overview
ISS is immediately seeking a Senior Corporate Governance Research Analyst for the Middle East, Northern Africa and Sub-Saharan markets (26 in total). You will analyze corporate governance and financial information and write research reports on publicly traded companies based on ISS' voting guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze corporate governance and financial information to write detailed research reports on publicly traded companies
• Issue proxy vote recommendations for shareholder meetings
• Answer internal/external queries on research reports
• Develop market expertise in corporate governance, investment and shareholder issues
• Assist with policy formulation
• Contribute articles to regular ISS publications

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Relevant Masters' degree, e.g. law, economics, finance, business or political science
• Languages: Fluent in Arabic (reading & writing) and English
• Previous experience in corporate governance/investment analysis/research
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical ability, with the ability to assimilate large quantities of information
• Excellent eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while also working successfully in a team environment
• Organized and structured mind, with excellent time management skills: able to deal with large quantities of work and strict deadlines
