Head, Project Finance

Description

Manage non-recourse project findings, ECA financings, and play an active role in relationships with Development Banks and Export Credit Agencies.  Handle from start to finish large and highly visible financings.  Act as one of the key representatives to the financial community, significant contact with senior level professionals at corporate and investment banks 

Main accountabilities       

Work closely with business units to analyze opportunities for funding. 

Put in place financings - project ; ECA; JV's, non-recourse.    

Recommendation of various financing alternatives taking into account market conditions and legal and accounting constraints.  

Negotiation with external parties (lawyers, banks) of terms and conditions of financing facilities

Manage highly specialized financings as required (eg Shipping and Energy)
Significant Interface with Internal (Legal, Accounting, Controlling, Tax,) and External Parties

Education & experience (ideally required)     

Degree in Economics/Finance, minimum 5 years prior experience in banking or funding department of a large corporation (ideally both in a bank and in a corporate), strong analytical and problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, good PowerPoint, excel and interpersonal skills. Very good knowledge of project and ECA financing and legal documentation/risks.  Extremely important that this person be able to work autonomously with the ability to manage large projects on their own but also able to work as a member of a team.  

International Role (extent to which inter-cultural skills are required)   

Inter-cultural skills are very important as this position requires to be in contact with professionals from a variety of different nationalities and importantly to represent ArcelorMittal to the external financial world.
