Key responsibilities:

Responsible to ensure Business Application Services (BAS) are delivered to all AXA IM clients, which consistently follow IT standards to provide consistent level of service to all AXA Investment Management Offices.

- Responsible for managing and delivering application production services to all business teams within AXA IM aligned with agreed Service Levels on a global basis
- Provide engineering support for production & other environments, incl: servers, storage, workplace & other infrastructure components. Ensure lifecycle, patching and performance of the production environment in line with service levels and technology standards
- Project Management: As new services are defined, or changes applied to production platforms, drive projects to achieve the desired effect within the set of delivered services. Develop necessary controls and processes to support cloud based application services
- Supplier management: Responsible for several critical service contracts, managed according to agreed service & quality commitments. External services managed will include Command Centre, Scheduling, Application Support L2, Monitoring & System Engineering
- In addition to the ‘line’ responsibilities, this manager will take the position of Deputy to the Global Head of Infrastructure Services. This will include for example derogation of specific sign off rights (to be defined and enabled), to substitute ‘Global head of’ in a number of specific meetings / committees as pre agreed & provide updates presentations to staff in Paris or other locations in support of his manager

Profile:

Qualifications
- IT engineer or / & University degree or / & ITIL certified
- Typically more than 10 years’ experience within an IT management role

Experience
- Significant and wide ranging experience in financial institutions with a main experience on managing at least one of the technical perimeters of the team.
Asset management useful, but not essential
- Significant senior line management experience of permanent staff, includes:
Performance appraisal process
Personal and professional development planning
Courage to take decisions
- Proven experience in implementing service delivery best practice,
Including industry standard models (ITIL etc..)
IT standards
AXA Group standards (where relevant)
- Strong budget and expense management
- Has managed or implemented external partnerships & outsourced services to drive, amongst others
Cost efficiency
Service consistency / improvements
Delivery of new IT services
- Understanding of the underlying IT technologies and strategies
Has experience across a wide range of IT technologies and able to put this knowledge into practice, challenging norms, leading by example etc..
- Able to adapt to local regulation or cultures, leading a team which covers locations and staff on a global scale
- Significant experience on support within a very demanding environment
- Proven experience of direct relationship with clients
- Good understanding of change lifecycle and risk assessment within IT

Specific work conditions
- Regular business travel would be expected
- Availability to work from time to time in ‘other’ AXA IM offices outside his home country would be required – for pre agreed timespan
- Flexibility will be required in particular in the case of unforeseen downtime or production / project related activity
