The Trading Risk Controls (TRC) team has a well-established trading risk management platform that supports multiple business units trading Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities and FX. The team has global presence and is responsible for design, implementation, and deployment of risk management systems. We are seeking talented system developer to join the team. The team is a front-to-back team where you will be exposed to all aspects of project delivery from conception to implementation to delivery. An ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms, an appetite for solving complex software engineering problems in a global setting, experience writing production C++/Java server code, and R&D skills to address tough problems head-on. Candidates will be expected to collaborate closely with a global team of like-minded peers and work in a team setting. Knowledge of financial systems and related trading technologies (e.g. FIX) is not a prerequisite, though we expect candidates to adapt quickly.

- 8+ years’ experience in writing server code (must be expert in either C++ or Java, familiar with the other is plus)

- For C/C++:

• Rich experience in Boost and/or STL libraries; exposure in meta programming is a plus;

• Good sense of low latency programming and experience of performance tuning

• Experience in C++11 or beyond is preferred

- For Java:

• Solid knowledge and rich experience in XML processing, Spring, Hibernate, Message Queue, stream based processing, micro-services architecture

• Being familiar with Kafka is preferred



- Proficiency with Linux; i.e. shell scripting, process management, multi-threading, operating systems

- Keen in the OO analysis and design methodologies, open minded communication and structural problem solving skills

- Comfort with project life-cycle, source control, and testing methodologies;

- Experience with automation, agile, and continuous integration a plus

- Knowledge of financial technologies (e.g. FIX) is a plus

- Good English written and verbal communication skills.
