Facilities Manager (Corporate Office Operation/ Facilities)

We are scouting for a competent facilities manager, who has looked after a corporate office environment, and preferably experience in managing relocation. This role is based in Shanghai, China. This is a great opportunity to work for a leading global provider of alternative asset services, and for someone who seeks challenges in managing multi-site office facilities, who thrives in leading a new team, and who has the drive in working with the global management team to bring the firm to higher level.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Global Facilities Director, the Facilities Manager will be managing  the overall day-to-day operation, maintenance, security & safety of facilities, equipment, and grounds that are leased/owned.


  • Facilities management of three office location in Asia: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore
  • Provides oversight and management of the provision of general facilities of the 3 offices
  • Ensure and monitor  compliance with procedures, policies and regulations
  • Plan, manage and support the entire organization's business continuity program, to support growth and change in priorities
  • Manage and oversee the facility's budget requirements, both capital and operational spend
  • Administer and monitor contracts, such as understanding the components within lease
  • Administer procurement procedures, and manage contracts with vendors
  • Determine and evaluate real estate requirements such as space utilization, equipment leases
  • Manage and oversee projects, such as office relocations, internal moves, acquisitive or organic growth; and that the projects meet the time requirements, specifications and budgets
  • Advocate for facility management needs and priorities, and be able to lead and inspire, and to assess what services are needed to meet firm's requirement
  • Ensures that adequate facilities, equipment and furnishings are available and properly maintained  

Skills / experience required

  • Membership to the relevant professional facilities governing body in Asia, BIRM or RICS or IFMA or related qualification/ discipline in facilities management
  • Health and Safety qualification
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in-house facilities management experience
  • Corporate office environemnt experience
  • Lease knowledge, design, building materials, real estate
  • Team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of project management experience
  • A self starter and have the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills top manage stakeholders including internal management and external vendors
