China Deputy Head of Credit Risk

One leading European bank is looking for a Deputy Head of Credit Risk in Shanghai.

As one of the world's leading commercial banks, our client has been doing business in China for decades. Now it is planning to expand its business in China and an experienced Deputy Head of Credit Risk in Shanghai is on urgent hiring.
In order to strengthen the communication with HO credit and other respective departments / divisions, the position should directly report to China CIB Head and indirectly report to HO credit. The candidates should supervise 1 or 2 credit analysts in the team. it`s your responsibility to make financial analysis of corporate customers' financials for SH and HK Commodities team, draft Term sheets and prepare reports for credit risk factor monitoring of existing clients on a monthly basis. You should have a good command of PRC law to draft facility documentation, review with Legal counsel and negotiate wording with the client; Meanwhile, you should also monitor loan facilities, confirm proper usage of funds by checking supporting documents, generate and review periodical monitoring reports. It`s your duty to pay enough attention to the monthly overview of European economy and quarterly update of Chinese economy.
To successfully apply for this role, the candidates need have min.12 years experience in corporate banking and credit function. Owning a experience of management is preferred, but not a must. In addition, analysing the industry (community, consumer etc.) and SOE/POE clients are essential. What`s more, not only should the candidates provide credit information for Chinese regulatory reporting, but also together with coverage, undertake country credit strategy paper annually and manage SH credit committee meetings. A good understanding of European economic overview and quarterly prepare China economy update are required. Good command of English and Mandarin is a must.
