Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global metals producer looking to hire an Aluminium Sales Manager to join the team in China.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for expanding the sales of physical aluminium products in China (extruded products, rolled products, value-added, e.g. billets/slabs/profiles/wheels/extrusions etc.)
- Exploit new business opportunities within the domestic Chinese market to contribute to the company’s overall expansion project and deliver consistent profitable sales volumes
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships through communication, contract negotiation, visits, handling enquiries etc. to enhance the overall commercial success of the China trading book
- Liaise effectively with other departments such as operations, logistics, technical etc. to maximise efficiency of overall supply chain
- Reports into the Head of China
Key Qualifications / Experience
- At least 3+ years’ experience trading or selling aluminium products (billets/alloys, rolled products, extrusiosns, scrap a benefit) for a producer or trading house
- An established network of clients and strong relationships with relevant aluminium customers/suppliers across China
- Import/export tolling operations experience, as well as expertise with INCOTERMS 2010, LME/SHFE hedging and other trade/finance techniques
- Must be fluent in English and either Cantonese or Mandarin
- Located in Guangzhou or happy to relocate
