Senior Risk Analyst SVP-Beijing

Manage credit risk for Chinese state owned enterprises and large corporate. This includes analysis, monitoring assessing business plans and transactions and making recommendations in cooperation with the bankers, as appropriate. The role also involves presenting, discussing and defending customers and transactions with head office in Europe.


  • Rating Analysis -Analyse each of the names, prepare its corresponding rating, and manage the ratings validation process.
  • Risk Approval -In cooperation with the bankers, manage the approval process for limits, transactions, etc.. This includes making assessing the deliverability and suitability of the business plans, structure, conditions, risk mitigants, etc. and making recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Portfolio Monitoring -Post-approval monitoring of transactions and lines, control of global exposure and utilization, and watch information arising about the portfolio and update consequently rating, limit classifications.
  • Risk Culture- Contribute to the Santander culture that risk is everyone's responsibility.

  • University degree or equivalent is required.
  • Around 10 - 12 years of risk management experience including credit risk analysis, business case evaluation, approval process experience.
  • A good understanding of Chinese market and business environment.
  • Corporate and trade finance products background is valued.
  • Solid understanding of good practice quantitative risk measurement tools.
  • Financial analysis skills
