CDS (Customer Delivery Services) Department

CDS is in charge of the implementation and delivery of the Murex solutions. We handle the clients just after the contractual agreements till going live on the product.

 

Job Purpose

Based in China and within the Customer Delivery Services (CDS) team, you will perform project management work in Greater China and South East Asia Region single or multiple projects and ensure that customer solutions are delivered on time according to budget and the required quality standards in order to strengthen our reputation in implementing solutions for clients.

 

Your Responsibilities

Responsible for accurate and timely regular reporting

Driving the implementation full 'life cycle' of Murex Front to Back Capital Markets software using water fall and/or agile project delivery methodologies

Enforcing project governance and risk management

Enforcing Murex implementation best practices with clients/implementation partners

Managing the expectations of users/stakeholders

Perform crisis management when required

Managing virtual teams of Murex functional and technical implementation consultants (on project basis)

Ensure the contract and the terms of reference are signed and returned in order to clarify the project requirements up front with all personnel involved

Take responsibilities of the project financials in assigned areas including resource costs/client invoicing

Support the sales function to facilitate winning quality new business through:

Ensuring accurate estimation of project components, required timescales & costs

Engaging with the client to demonstrate the value of project management

Contributing to the production of quality client proposals

Manage and deliver projects on time and up to Murex quality standards, in order to achieve client satisfaction and increase revenue for Murex:

Ensure consistency between the final approved client proposal, the contract and the project initiation document in terms of pricing/effort, timescales, deliverables, responsibilities, milestones and payment terms

Build, agree and communicate multi-phase, multi-tier, multi-party project plans with mixed project teams consisting of client personnel, 3rd party personnel and our teams

Hold project P&L responsibility, controlling and monitoring project progress against time and budget, redressing project slippage and reporting deviations in excess of tolerance

Deliver the correct software (including customizations) for a project and manage any operating system or base application software release / upgrade process during the lifecycle of a project

Develop and manage project plan according to its scope

Define and document resources, skill requirements, project charter, milestones and metrics per our standard methods and practices and the customer’s contractual agreement

Work closely with the project team (project manager officer, business analyst, stream leads, team members) to ensure work coordination

Manage effectively the issues escalation to the appropriate level within the client’s or our organization when necessary

Obtain the client’s acceptance of the solution upon project completion

Requirement

  • Engineering degree (Bachelor or Masters) or equivalent or Master’s degree in Finance/Business
  • Around 10 years’ business experience among which 5 years+ as a delivery project manager on a capital markets technology platform
  • Good Chinese and English skills
  • Worked in a multi-cultural environment and delivered projects in vendor environment
  • Prior experience as part of a management team (lead role with plan, resource and issue/change responsibilities) that successfully managed a full life cycle implementation
  • Experience in supporting business development opportunities through proposal creation, review and presentation
  • Client orientation
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
