What are the goals of the team and how can you contribute to its success?

The team provides front line, onsite reception service. This includes responding to telephone inquiries, directing messages to appropriate areas, greeting visitors, and providing administrative support.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Receptionist/Admin Assistant role?

  • Provide front-line, onsite reception and administrative service for multiple teams.
  • Answer incoming calls for multiple teams, and directing the inquiries accordingly.
  • Provide administrative support to management and mid-office teams.
  • Maintain an orderly and professional reception area.
  • Cover for the mail room as required.

What ideal qualifications would help someone to be successful?
  • Post-secondary education in administration or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of reception or administrative support experience.
  • Superior customer service skills, and professional telephone manner are required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and to proactively respond to changing demands and priorities.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio.
